This Agreement is made between us, KIT KEEPER Ltd (a company registered in England under number 10338438 with its registered office at Ladyholt Parkhouse, Compton, W. Sussex, PO18 9NT (‘KIT KEEPER’), and you, the person who wishes to use the service and who enters into this agreement by accepting these Terms of Service (“you” and “your”).
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By registering to use the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.
1.1 There is no guarantee for a delivery date or time for the empty boxes we will send to you, other than that it will be at least two days prior to the collection date. We will do our best to get the empty boxes to you as promptly as possible. If you have placed an order within a week of the collection date, this process may be delayed.
1.2 Appearance and colour of the boxes may vary (but sizes will remain consistent).
1.3 We will not provide free suitcases. Suitcases must be stored in one of our suitcase boxes.
1.4 Full refunds can be offered and orders can be changed however these will subject to administration fees (i.e. transaction fees). Partial refunds may also be offered on a case by case basis.
2.1 Collection will be any time from 9am-7pm on the collection day. You must be present for collection. Any failure to collect items caused by you not being available or your items not being packed will result in a missed collection fee. Collections are not automatically rebooked and you must contact us to rebook another collection.
2.2 Kit Keeper will not collect from individual rooms in halls of residence, items will be collected from reception desks or on the group floor outside of the buildings.
2.3 If your items are being left at a reception desk to be collected, then it is your responsibility to ensure that the items can be collected by the driver. You must ensure the Kit Keeper label on the box is not covered, and there are no other stickers or labels on the box. The driver will apply the appropriate shipping labels on collection.
2.4 Collections are completed by our courier partner, DPD. Kit Keeper is not responsible for any issues caused outside of our control.
3.1 Prohibited items (you must not store the following items):
Ammonia / bleach
Asbestos or products containing asbestos
Cash, Credit Cards, Debit Cards
Combustible and flammable items
Drugs (both illegal narcotics and prescription medications)
Drugs (Including Prescription)
Fish (Live Or Dead)
Living or dead animals
Paint, paint thinner, paint removers
Perfume / Aftershave (All)
Perishable Goods (All)
Plants, seeds or soil
Plastic grocery bags
Printer Toner (International Parcels Only)
Stamps (Unless Franked)
Stolen items / property
3.2 No compensation items (following items are not covered by the insurance / compensation scheme):
Electronics (Phone, Laptop, Tablet, etc)
Fragile Items (All)
Gems Or Gemstones
Over Head Projector
3.3 All boxes and suitcases must be suitably sealed with tape. If there are any loose boxes, we will not collect them.
3.4 We do not own the facility at which we will store your items, this is owned by a third party.
3.5 No boxes should be over packed; if the sides of a box are budging excessively, we will not collect it.
3.6 Any suitcases stored must be suitable for storage and securely closed and stored within one of our suitcase boxes.
3.7 All items stored (including your own suitcases) will have labels stuck to them (for organizational convenience), by agreeing to these terms and conditions you give us permission to do this.
3.8 No box or suitcase should be over 25kg.
3.9 You must not store possessions with a combined value of over £1000, please insure your items for the appropriate amount on our website in correspondence to their value.
3.10 Once in storage you will not be able to retrieve your boxes / other possessions until your delivery date. If you would like this changed, please get in contact with us.
4.1 Delivery will be any time from 9am-7pm on the collection day. If the items are not delivered on your collection date, we will make a second attempt to deliver but after this we may charge an additional fee for delivery.
4.2 You will be charged for any items that are being stored past the delivery date. You can store with us for as long as you like, however if accounts go unpaid, items will eventually be disposed of if you do not make any attempt to contact us.
4.3 To change an order, you must contact us either through our email (as listed on our website) or on the contact form.
4.4 Any minor damage to customer owned suitcases, boxes or bags (such as scratches, dents and marks) are the cause of general wear and tear from storage for which Kit Keeper will not be held responsible.
4.5 Compensation claims must be made within 14 days of the delivery date to Kit Keeper.
4.6 Compensation cover will only pay up to 50% of an items value if it is more than 6 months’ old.
4.7 Insurance does not cover your belongings during transportation.
5.1 The customer must ensure that any fragile items have sufficient protection.
5.2 All items must be stored safely and securely.
5.3 Any suitcases, bags or boxes must be secured shut.
5.4 All boxes must be secured shut with parcel tape.
5.5 The customer must not overfill their suitcases, boxes or bags as this may cause structural weaknesses.
5.6 All suitcases stored must be hard-backed as otherwise they may be damaged during storage or transport.
5.7 Suitcase damage are not covered by our compensation scheme.
5.8 Kit Keepers reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time.
5.9 Kit Keeper reserves the right to cancel your order and provide a full refund.
